Hong Kong (in Chinese) on 31.56 metres at 19.35.

Sugar may be bought only once a month at the authorised price in Hong-Kong, but in view of the public petitions, the Government had decided to permit sugar to be bought fortnightly but this decision has not yet come into force. Cooking oil is very precious in Hong Kong, the price being 1.50 dollars the catty, but the price is fluctuating and once reached 9 dollars the catty because the stock was not sufficient for the public needs, owing to the fact that the oil factories in Hong Kong are short of material.
